Looking for Volunteers for the Polish Festival

For the last 4 years the members of Knights of Columbus Councils 8026 & 9296, their families and friends have participated in the Roncesvalles Polish Festivalhttp://polishfestival.ca/ )

with “The Knights’ Table” and we have found out that we need a great number of volunteers to keep it running smoothly.

For those who have already volunteered in the past years you know what I’m talking about.

This year the Festival runs on September 19th & 20th. The volunteering is fun! We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help us at the Festival and more importantly raise funds for charity!

So far over the 4 years we have raised close to $ 100,000.00  for charities such as St. Joseph’s Healthcare Facility, Copernicus Lodge Seniors and Long Term Care Facility, St. Francis’ Table, Georgina Food bank, South Lake Regional Health Centre, Cedar Vale Lodge Seniors home.

All our NET profits goes to charity!!!

“The Knights’ Table”, will need helping hands in food preparation and food serving, and we will also need servers for the “Sobieski Vodka Polka mania Beverage Garden”.

This is fun work that can be applied to high school students community service hours. So if you do know of some students who are wanting to have some fun while they work, please pass this information on to them.

The BEER GARDEN servers must be minimum 19 years of age and they will need their “Smart-Serve certification”.

If they do not already have this, we are willing to pay for them to get it. All you have to do is present your receipt for payment after you have finished your volunteering.(go to www.smartserve.ca).

We will make sure that there is an equitable distribution of gratuities so that all workers in the Beer Garden area receive their  “just rewards” !

We hope that you will be able to help out this year?!!!

Below is some sign up information and brief descriptions of various volunteer positions and a checklist of availability.
