History of Council 8026

Georgina Council 8026 was formed March 27, 1982.  At that time the council was called ‘Georgina Centennial’ because it received it’s charter on the same day as the hundredth anniversary of the Knights of Columbus.  Victor Doughan was the first Grand Knight.  In 1994 Keswick council was formed and was called ‘Our Lady of the Lake’ council 11433.  George Hastie was the first Grand Knight.  And so there were two councils in Georgina.  In January 2007, the two council’s merged and became ‘Our Lady Immaculate’.
